University of Environment and Sustainable Development

UESD is one of Ghana's newest public universities, established in 2020 with a unique mandate to focus on environmental science, sustainability, and climate-resilient development. Located in Somanya in the Eastern Region, UESD aims to train professionals who can address Africa's environmental and sustainability challenges including climate change, water management, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy. As a young institution, UESD is rapidly developing its academic programmes and campus infrastructure.
